The Public Affairs chief assistant in the American Embassy in Muscat

 

Al-Buraimi University College has always been to develop its academic staff abilities and to promote its professional capabilities. Therefore, on the 20th of March, 2007, the College received both Mr.Derick Hoffman, the Public Affaiers chief assistant in the American Embassy in Muscat, and Professor James Brown who delivered a lecture entitled “The Modem Methods of Teaching English language, and Their Role in Developing the Student’s Language Skills”. The Lecture emphasized the necessity of employing methodological strategies that are based on academic research, for presenting the teaching material to the students. At the end of the lecture, the guests paid a visit to the various departments of the College, during which they had a close look at the presentations and series offered by the College to its students.
           This lecture is one of the many academic activities offered by the College, within the framework of promoting its Foundation Program and its English Language Program.
