American Corner

In 2004, Buraimi (University) College and the U.S. Embassy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishing an American Corner on campus.

It was inaugurated on 6th of July 2005 by His Excellency Richard Baltimore the Ambassador of the United States of America.

It is similar to a public library reference service; the American Corner provides information about the U.S. free of charge to the Omani public. Located inside the campus library, visitors to the American Corner can watch a video, read up on a particular subject, surf the internet or attend a lecture they’re interested in.
