 International Business Program:

This program provides students with opportunities to gain in-depth knowledge and widen their scope of international trade. Students get to develop internationally-recognized skills in trade management, globalization, localization, open trading, international investment, and international monetary systems. As efficient prospective professionals, our students graduate with good understanding and appreciation of the cross-cultural, political, legal, and societal differences existing world-wide. Objectives:


The courses are designed for those who recognize the need and value of developing business skills at a certain level, and emphasize global and International Perspectives. Globalization and Trade liberalization are forces cannot be ignored and practitioners will need to take full advantage of them. 1. To understand various economic theories of international trade and investment. 2. To understand the complexities of the international monetary system and balance of payments. 3. To understand the mechanics of doing business abroad. 4. To understand the importance of cultural, economic, environmental, legal, political, and sociological differences between countries. 5. To understand how they affect the success or failure of business operations abroad.

 Bachelor in International Business:

The number of credit hours required for obtaining the Bachelor of International Business is 120 credit hours. The course structure ensures that students have the widest possible range of employment opportunities open to them on completion of the studies. The course is also designed for those students who wish to join an international trading organization and provide the business knowledge required for position within such organization.

Advanced Diploma (3 years):

The number of credit hours required for obtaining the Advanced Diploma is 90 credit hours. This Advanced diploma program of International business provides the relentless globalization of business and society means that international events have ramification for domestic affairs. This program providing a comprehensive knowledge of major functional areas of business and also prepares students for employment with organizations involved in exporting.

Diploma (2 years):

The number of credit hours required for obtaining the Diploma is 60 credit hours. This diploma program concentrates on the complexities of the movement of goods and services across national boundaries and prepare student for employment with multinational corporations ad to ensure the widest possible range of employment opportunities. Students is providing with a qualification which will enable them to progress to higher level general management or specialized business programs at a later stage in their business or academic careers.

Student Learning Outcomes:

As a result of completing this program, Students will develop a strategic level understanding of the key functions of business—accounting, economics, finance, international business, management, management information systems, marketing, operations, and statistics.

Job Opportunities:

The degree in International Business program has been carefully drawn to meet market demands qualitatively in particular in private sector in global business. The program ensures offering graduates who will be efficient and effective in performing business and achieving organization objectives. The holders of degree in International Business have been well received in Oman Job Market, as well as other Gulf countries for their outstanding performance in teamwork, creativity and administrative leadership skills.
